Welcome to CB Childcare

About Us

CB Childcare began life in May 2003 when Caroline first registered as a childminder with Ofsted. Based in Carshalton, where Caroline lives with her husband, Andy, two sons, William and Oliver, and dog, Ruby.

Since then Caroline has teamed up with another similarly experienced childminder to provide the full spectrum of excellent care to all children. Both childminders are NVQ Level 3 qualified, specialising in children's care, learning and development. Caroline also has a CACHE qualification for childrens mental health. In September 2020 we were joined by a full time childminding assistant, caring for the children and bringing in fresh ideas for their development.

CB Childcare operates from Caroline's home, which means we are able to offer a warm, home from home environment for the children. There is plenty of off street parking available outside our house. We are next to Westcroft Leisure centre, with the Grove 5 minutes away and a 10 minute walk from Beddington Park.

Carshalton train station and Carshalton College are 10 minutes from here. Wallington station is about 20 minutes walk from here. There are also a number of bus routes locally from Carshalton High Street.

We currently drop off and collect from All Saints Primary School and Nursery, Carshalton.

As well as public liability insurance, all staff have current Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certifications. Other certified training that our staff have includes child safeguarding, autism and anaphylaxis. All our staff are always looking for courses and webinars to expand their knowledge.

Between us we have extensive experience of looking after children of all ages, including twins, from newborns up to age 11. In the past we have cared for children with Autism, ADHD and Cerabral Palsy, as well as offering alternative menus for children with allergies and food intolerances. Current Ofsted rules allow us to care for up to 9 children under school age.

There is a comprehensive range of toys and equipment to suit all needs and ages and stage of development. This includes construction toys, Lego, puzzles, craft materials, art, drawing, cars, character toys, games, dressing up and educational work books for the older child. The older children are also able to spend some quiet time to complete any homework they may have.

Our usual activities are: visiting the park, messy play, story & rhyme time at the library, making cakes, craft, play groups, leisure centres for soft play, dressing up and visiting friends.

Previous outings include: bowling, swimming, exhibitions, trampolining, visiting a fire station, ice skating, visiting parks, Wildlife centre at Beddington Park, theatres, zoos, cinema & farms.
